During my stay there, I maximized the time staying at home. Yes, I'm not there often and I enjoy the lazy days there. That's not to say that I just stayed at home though. Apart from that I've gone to a few interesting places with dad and my brother. Here are some of it...
First off, is some lovely seafood restaurant that serves awesome calamari and scallops, along with nice cold beer - Palawud Resto Grill & Bar. This is located in among the more populated areas in Bacolod city that's near the seashore. It has a lovely view of the sunset and one of the local seaports.

Shortly after my brother and his girlfriend left, my uncles and cousin met up with us at the place. It was certain that my uncles and dad are gonna be chatting a lot over beer about stuff that only they can relate to. My cousin and I excused ourselves and went to have our beer under the stars while rambling random things like cars, engine mods, his antics abroad, and photography.
He mods his own car, practically swapping out the engine and customizing all the other components included. All in his spare time. If that's not cool, I don't know what is.

I spent New Year's Eve with the family holding food in one hand and the dog every now and then. Needless to say, this below is probably the only legitimate picture I took apart from those in Instagram. Hey, I wanted to be in the moment too.

My week started with me and my folks hanging out on this place in a relatively obscure part of the city where there's an awesome Thai/Japanese place that serves awesome Pho called Rau-Ram Cafe. Their Pho is not to be underestimated, it's surprisingly delicious and can legitimately serve three hungry people. The coffee was also interesting and quite rich. Amusingly enough, despite the obscure location, the whole place actually gets crowded at lunch time!

Well then, I loved that brief R&R, nevermind that I got sick on my last day and traveled back to Manila barely recovering from a flu. Electrolyte imbalance roughed me up as well. But nonetheless, it's nothing that prevented me from going back to the daily grind.
It's going to be an interesting year, so don't let the fear of getting lost deter you from going out to wander. :)
